Prof. Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni-Suef University, today chaired the dialogue session on the Economic pillar, organized by the University in response to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's invitation to actively participate in the preparatory sessions for Egypt Forum 2026. The session was attended by a distinguished group of advisors and economic experts, representatives of ministries and national institutions, faculty members, and specialists, with the aim of supporting comprehensive development efforts and formulating forward-looking visions based on knowledge, expertise, and strategic planning.
The dialogue session aimed to redefine national priorities within the economic ???? through an objective and academic discussion bringing together academic experts and government representatives. This contributed to the exchange of perspectives and expertise regarding current economic challenges and available opportunities for sustainable development. The session also sought to leverage academic knowledge and specialized studies in support of the decision-making process and to propose more effective policies and initiatives that respond to the requirements of the current phase, thereby strengthening integration between academic institutions and executive bodies and supporting the development of a national economic vision based on scientific foundations and aligned with development objectives.
For his part, the University President welcomed the attendees, emphasizing that organizing the session reflects a commitment to the importance of constructive national dialogue in supporting the state's efforts to achieve sustainable development. He noted that the University was honored to host a distinguished group of advisors and economic analysts, as well as leaders and experts from the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, and the Central Bank of Egypt, in addition to a distinguished group of academics and specialists from the Faculties of Law, Economics and Political Science, and Commerce. This represented a unique combination of executive and academic expertise capable of enriching the dialogue and providing realistic and practical visions for the future of the Egyptian economy.
He added that bringing together this distinguished group of experts and specialists under the umbrella of Beni-Suef University highlights the importance of partnership and integration among state institutions, universities, and think tanks and centers of expertise. It also underscores the pivotal role of Egyptian universities in supporting the decision-making process through scientific studies, objective perspectives, and actionable recommendations.
The University President explained that the session was held at a time when the world is witnessing rapid economic transformations that pose new challenges while simultaneously opening promising prospects for growth, investment, and innovation. He emphasized that responsible dialogue and the exchange of expertise among various stakeholders represent a fundamental pillar for developing forward-looking visions that enhance the Egyptian economy's ability to achieve sustainable growth and strengthen its competitiveness regionally and internationally.
The University President expressed his hope that the discussions and ideas presented would contribute to formulating high-quality recommendations that reflect the aspirations of Egyptian society and support the state's efforts to build a strong, balanced economy capable of addressing challenges and capitalizing on opportunities. This would contribute to achieving sustainable development goals and advancing the New Republic. He also highlighted the importance of making the session an effective platform for exchanging perspectives and expertise among policymakers, experts, and academics, contributing to practical proposals that support economic reform efforts and consolidate the principles of comprehensive and sustainable development. The participants in the dialogue session ultimately reached a set of valuable recommendations expected to contribute to the state's economic development.
