The Beni Suef University Council opens its session by extending congratulations on the glorious October victories.

Prof. Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni-Suef University, chaired today the meeting No. (262) of the University Council, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs; Mr. Mohamed Selim, Secretary-General of the University; the Deans of the Faculties; and members of the Council.

At the beginning of the meeting, the University President extended his congratulations to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the political leadership, the Armed Forces personnel, the Egyptian people, and the University community on the occasion of the anniversary of the glorious October Victories. He emphasized that this great historic victory represents an immortal national epic that embodied the excellence of scientific planning and the determination of the Egyptian fighter in restoring the land and dignity. He also stressed the University’s constant commitment to commemorating these national occasions in order to instill the values of loyalty and belonging and to introduce new generations to the sacrifices made by our heroes for the advancement and stability of the nation.

The Council also honored a distinguished group of former university leaders who made significant contributions to the academic and developmental progress of the University. The honorees included Prof. Dr. Abu El-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, former Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Dr. Adel Gouda, former Dean of the Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants; Prof. Dr. Abdullah Hassan, former Dean of the National Institute for Small and Medium Enterprises; and Prof. Dr. Wafaa Rabie, former Dean of the Institute of Laser Research and Applications.

The honoring ceremony came as an expression of appreciation for their sincere efforts, continuous dedication throughout their tenure, and their prominent role in developing their respective academic and research sectors, which contributed to enhancing the University’s status and reaffirming its leading role in serving the community. The Council also honored a number of administrative staff members who reached the legal retirement age during the current month of September.

The Council approved the plan of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector to organize a series of seminars and workshops during the upcoming month of October. The Council emphasized the importance of regular seminars and workshops in strengthening interaction between students, faculty members, and experts from outside the University, as they provide valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange and keeping pace with scientific and technological developments across various disciplines.

These activities also contribute to enhancing students’ critical and research thinking skills, expanding their professional horizons, and encouraging innovation and teamwork. This, in turn, strengthens graduates’ readiness for the labor market and contributes to building a vibrant university community founded on knowledge and creativity.
