Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, a student delegation from the Faculty of Pharmacy and the "Students for Egypt" group conducted a field visit this October to the "Grifols Egypt" plasma derivatives manufacturing center in 6th of October City. This facility stands as a prominent strategic national project within the healthcare sector and is the first integrated center for the manufacturing of plasma derivatives in Egypt, the Middle East, and Africa. The visit was organized under the supervision of Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Shahira El-Menshawy, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; Dr. Adel Ahmed Ali, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; and Dr. Ahmed Farouk, General Coordinator of the "Students for Egypt" group at the university. The visit was coordinated and overseen by Dr. Dina Amin, Coordinator of Student Activities, and Mr. Mohamed Ali, Director of Youth Welfare, who accompanied the delegation.

Dr. Tarek Ali emphasized that this visit stems from the commitment of the Beni Suef University administration to organize scientific and cultural excursions. These visits are primarily aimed at providing students with the practical, field-based experience necessary to prepare them for the labor market, while also fostering national awareness among young people regarding the major strategic national projects currently being implemented by the Egyptian state.

The university president explained that the training and educational program for the visit included a comprehensive and detailed overview of the project’s concept and its strategic importance. Students were presented with a list of vital medications that have been successfully manufactured to date, and they also gained valuable insight into the donation process—covering the steps involved, the criteria for selecting donors, and the best practices implemented to ensure donor safety.

Dr. Tarek Ali noted that the visit concluded with an extensive tour of the center’s facilities, during which the students were able to observe the entire blood donation process firsthand. At the end of the tour, they expressed great admiration for the advanced medical system and highlighted the significant value they gained from this educational visit.

For her part, Dr. Shahira El-Menshawy, Dean of the Faculty, expressed her great pleasure at the outstanding performance of the student delegation and their commitment to making the most of this strategic visit. She also extended her thanks and appreciation to the university administration for its ongoing support of student activities and field visits, which help shape students' personalities and prepare a generation capable of serving their nation with high competence.
