Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni-Suef University, the University’s students distinguished themselves during their participation in the 14th Youth Universities Week, hosted by Minya University, winning a number of medals and achieving advanced positions across various fields and competitions of the event, which brought together students from Egyptian public and private universities and higher institutes. The participation was supervised by Prof. Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs; Mr. Mohamed Selim, Secretary-General of the University; Prof. Dr. Hossam El-Hawary, General Coordinator of Student Activities at the University; Captain Mohamed Farouk, Director General of Youth Welfare; and Captain Ayman Zarea, Deputy Director General of Youth Welfare.
Prof. Dr. Tarek Ali congratulated the University’s winning students, praising their outstanding results across various fields during the Youth Universities Week. He emphasized the University’s commitment to supporting student activities and encouraging students to actively participate in diverse fields, contributing to the discovery of their talents, development of their abilities, and refinement of their skills.
He noted that these results reflect the diverse capabilities and talents of the University’s students in sports, arts, culture, social activities, scouting, and public service. They also demonstrate the importance of student activities in developing students’ skills and building their personalities. He wished all students continued success and extended his thanks and appreciation to all members of the University delegation for their efforts throughout the 14th Youth Universities Week.
In the Sports Activities, the University’s students achieved a number of outstanding results. Student Seif Allah Hazem Abdel Rahman won the silver medal in the discus throw competition, while student Amani Ashraf won the bronze medal in the same competition. The women’s table tennis team secured fourth place, while the volleyball team advanced to the quarterfinals, the basketball team reached the Round of 16, and the women’s football team advanced to the quarterfinals.
In the Social Activities, student Mahmoud Talaat, from the Faculty of Medicine, secured third place among Egyptian universities in the Ideal Student Competition.
In the Artistic Activities, the University’s Fine Arts Team won first place and the overall shield of the Fine Arts Exhibition, in addition to several individual awards. Student Harby Rabie won the gold medal in drawing, while student Aya Abbas won the gold medal in oil painting. Student Youssef Adel won the silver medal in graphic arts, while student Safaa Abdel Fattah won the bronze medal in handicrafts. Student Harby Rabie also secured second place and the silver medal in the pencil-drawing competition held as part of the Art Workshop.
In the Scouting and Public Service Activities, the University’s Scout Team continued its outstanding performance throughout the Youth Universities Week, achieving the top level in all competition categories and securing first place among Egyptian universities.
A number of scouts and guides also received individual awards. Guide Alyaa Fathy was named Ideal Guide at the level of the Week and Egyptian universities, while Scout Ziad Ahmed was named Ideal Campfire Leader at the level of the Week and Egyptian universities. Scout Osama Abdullah, Scout Youssef Adel, and Guide Asmaa Eid were also awarded the titles of Ideal Scout and Ideal Guide at the level of the Beni-Suef University delegation.
In the Cultural Activities, student Al-Zahraa Osama Abdel Azim, from the Faculty of Medicine, secured third place among Egyptian universities in the Holy Quran Memorization Competition.
