Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, announced the promotion and qualification of the University Theatre Team to the final round of the “Ibdaa 14” Festival for University Youth, which is held under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, and under the supervision of Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Captain Mohamed Farouk, Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare. This qualification reflects the artistic and creative renaissance currently witnessed by the University in various cultural and national forums.

Dr. Tarek Ali stated that the University is proud of its Theatre Team, which presented the distinguished performance “The Last Shadows of the Earth” on the Giza Governorate Theatre, with the participation of 30 male and female students from various faculties of the University. This work embodied the collective efforts of a group of talented creatives: written and directed by artist Youssef Al-Mansour, lighting design by Mahmoud Al-Husseini, poetry by student Mohamed Farid, music composition and singing by artist Mo’men Amin, musical arrangement by artists Mohamed Abdel Wahab and Shady Shawarib, costumes and makeup designed by Mohamed Shaker, and executive direction by Walid Hussein. He emphasized that this performance represents a model of student creativity that the University always seeks to replicate and further develop.

Dr. Tarek Ali also extended his congratulations to the Theatre Team, wishing them success in the final performance, and affirmed that the University is keen on supporting artistic talents and developing creative abilities as an integral part of building a well-rounded university student personality. He expressed his pride in this achievement, stressing that success is the result of continuous institutional support.

Captain Mohamed Farouk confirmed that this achievement, represented by reaching the final award platform, did not come by coincidence, but is the outcome of a comprehensive and integrated work strategy adopted by the Youth Welfare Administration. This strategy primarily aims to discover promising talents at an early stage and refine them through specialized workshops and professional training conducted by experts. He emphasized that the Administration spared no effort in providing all the necessary resources to prepare the team in an outstanding manner, enabling it to compete strongly in the Ibdaa Festival and to appear at a high artistic level that meets the University’s aspirations and fulfills the ambitions of its creative students.
