Beni Suef University President Appoints Dr. Abeer Sayed Moawad as Advisor for Innovation

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, issued Decree No. 1685 today, appointing Dr. Abeer Sayed Moawad, Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, as Advisor to the University President for Innovation Affairs. The University President also expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Mohamed El-Farran for his dedicated service during his tenure in the role.

The University President emphasized that the Advisor for Innovation Affairs is a vital role reflecting the university’s commitment to fostering a culture of innovation across education, scientific research, and community engagement. The position embodies the university's vision to stimulate creative, practical solutions for societal challenges. Furthermore, the role drives an entrepreneurial university ecosystem by supporting innovators and researchers, facilitating industry-research collaboration, expanding business incubators and innovation centers, and solidifying the university's standing as a leading institution for sustainable development.

Dr. Abeer has held several key executive leadership roles at the university, including Executive Director of the University Performance Development Center, Acting Vice Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center, and former Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy for Community Service and Environmental Development. She has also managed numerous institutional development and academic accreditation projects.

In innovation and technology transfer, Dr. Abeer has led multiple funded initiatives aimed at commercializing research outcomes, building capacity for tech transfer, and managing innovation. She oversaw the operations of both the Patent Office and the University-Industry Linkage Office. Additionally, she holds specialized international professional certifications in technology transfer, intellectual property, startup development, and entrepreneurship—equipping her with the strategic expertise to advance the university's innovation ecosystem and translate research into impactful economic and societal applications.
