Beni Suef University Council opens its session by extending congratulations on the occasion of the New Gregorian Year and the Glorious Christmas.

Today, Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, chaired the University Council meeting No. (253), in the presence of Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel Mawgoud, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President of the University for Education and Students Affairs, the deans of the faculties, and members of the Council.
At the outset of the meeting, the University President extended his congratulations on the advent of the New Gregorian Year, expressing his wishes for a year filled with success and progress on both the academic and community levels. He also conveyed his sincere congratulations to the Coptic brothers on the occasion of the Glorious Christmas, which falls on the seventh of next January, affirming the values of fraternity and tolerance that unite the sons of the same nation, and stressing the importance of strengthening the spirit of national unity across all state institutions, foremost among them universities, which serve as beacons of knowledge and enlightenment.
During the opening session, the Council honored Dr. Hendawy Abdel El-Lahi Hassan, Dean of the Faculty of Developmental Social Work, and Dr. Hossam El-Din Abdel Razek El-Hawary, Professor of Sports Management and Promotion at the University, in recognition of their distinguished efforts and contributions to judging the “Best University for Student Activities” competition at the level of Egyptian universities for the academic year 2024–2025. The Council also honored Engineer Mohamed Shaaban, Director of the Engineering Administration at the University, and Engineer Ahmed Mohamed Mohamed of the same administration, in appreciation of their great efforts in serving the University. In addition, the Council honored Lieutenant Colonel Taha Salah Matar, former Deputy Director of the Military Education Administration at the University, in recognition of his tangible and outstanding efforts, which he exerted with utmost sincerity during his period of service at the University and which effectively contributed to the development of the work system. The Council further honored members of the administrative staff who reached the legal retirement age during the current month of December.
The Council approved the plan of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector regarding the organization of a series of seminars and workshops during the coming month of January, emphasizing the importance of periodic seminars and workshops in enhancing interaction between students, faculty members, and experts from outside the University. Such activities provide important opportunities for the exchange of knowledge and for keeping pace with scientific and technological developments across various disciplines. They also contribute to refining students’ critical and research thinking skills, broadening their professional horizons, and encouraging a spirit of innovation and teamwork, thereby enhancing graduates’ readiness for the labor market and contributing to the building of a vibrant, knowledge-driven university community.
