The Faculty of Nursing at Beni Suef University organizes an event for "World Alzheimer's Day"

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Nursing organized the "World Alzheimer's Day" event, under the supervision of Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs; Dr. Hanan Al-Zablawi Hassan, Dean of the Faculty; and Dr. Sherine El-Sayed, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and with the preparation and implementation of Dr. Aziza Mahmoud, Head of the Department of Nursing and Community Health. This came in the presence of Dr. Omnia Mohsen, Vice Dean of the Institute of the Elderly, and a number of faculty members, employees, and students of the Faculty.
Dr. Tariq Ali noted that the day's events included important and specialized scientific discussions covering key topics such as defining Alzheimer's disease and methods for its early detection, as well as highlighting the pivotal role of healthcare providers in patient care. Discussions also focused on the importance of alternative and preventative approaches to the disease, exploring the role of exercise and proper nutrition as effective treatments and preventative measures. The event concluded with a moving play, prepared by students of the department, depicting "A Day in the Life of an Alzheimer's Patient," to deepen awareness of the challenges faced by patients. The day ended with honoring the guests and the members of the Community Health Nursing Department who oversaw the organization.
For her part, Dr. Hanan Al-Zablawi affirmed that the College of Nursing bears a significant social responsibility towards important health issues, foremost among them Alzheimer's disease. She explained that the primary objective of organizing this event was to raise health awareness among students and the community about the importance of early detection of the disease and how to provide the necessary support to those affected and their families. She also emphasized the college's commitment to training nursing staff capable of providing comprehensive care for Alzheimer's patients, and expressed her gratitude to the members of the Community Health Nursing Department for their efforts that led to the success of the day and the achievement of its awareness and educational goals.
