A scientific visit for students of the Space Science Program at Beni Suef National University to the headquarters of the National Authority for Remote Sensing

Under the auspices of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef National University, the Applied Sciences for Space and Navigation Program organized a scientific visit for the program's students to the headquarters of the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences, under the supervision of Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel Mawgoud, Academic Vice President, Dr. Momtaz Higab, Dean of the Engineering and Basic and Applied Science Sector, and Dr. Mohamed Murad Abdel Rahman, Academic Director of the Program.
Dr. Mansour Hassan explained that the visit is within the framework of the cooperation protocol between the two parties, with the aim of providing students with the opportunity to explore the applications of modern space technologies, and to learn about the broad capabilities of analyzing satellite images in fields such as agriculture, urban planning, and studying environmental phenomena. It was agreed to launch a number of training programs and grants dedicated to students, to gain more distinguished practical skills to qualify them to work in the fields of space and sensing. This is within the framework of the strategic plan followed by the administration of Beni Suef National University towards enhancing applied education and linking students to advanced technology fields.
During the visit, the students learned about the latest practical applications in the fields of remote sensing and space technology, and how to analyze satellite images and use them in various fields, from urban planning to environmental studies. The students also visited the Authority’s distinguished laboratories, such as the virtual reality lab, data analysis lab, and space lab, which gave them the opportunity to learn about the latest technologies used in this field.
