President of Beni Suef University inaugurates renovation and development works of the pediatric and internal medicine emergency building at a cost of 6 million pounds

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, today inaugurated the renovation and development works of the Pediatric and Internal Medicine Emergency building at a cost of 6 million pounds, as part of the university's plan to receive the largest number of visitors to university hospitals. This was in cooperation with the Beni Suef Renaissance Foundation and in the presence of Dr. Khaled El-Hadidi, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, Dr. Emad El-Banna, Executive Director of University Hospitals, Dr. Samah Gad, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Mr. Mohamed Selim, Secretary General of the University, Dr. Mohamed Mustafa, Director of Emergency, Dr. Ashraf Farouk, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Beni Suef Renaissance Foundation, Mr. Walid Hussein, Executive Director of the Foundation, the faculty's vice deans, and a group of department heads at the faculty and doctors.
During the opening, Dr. Mansour Hassan stressed that the development of the Pediatric 's emergency building comes within the framework of the university's keenness to raise the level of health care in Beni Suef Governorate in particular and the Upper Egypt sector in general, and in line with the political leadership's directives to provide distinguished medical services to the Egyptian citizen. Also, he stressed the importance of cooperation between civil society organizations and the university to provide distinguished medical services to the citizen.
The university president explained that the pediatric and internal medicine emergency building was provided with 22 beds fully equipped with a modern monitor, oxygen devices, and ECG devices, in addition to the necessary equipment in the unit, as there is a room to diagnose patients’ cases according to the degree of injury before entering the unit to receive treatment and conduct the necessary X-rays and tests for diagnosis. The pediatric emergency was also renovated to suit the nature of the unit for children. As well as providing a rest area for doctors, professors, deputies, interns, nursing staff, and administrators.
