Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced today that the university has achieved the eighth position locally and ranks between 860 and 841 globally in its first participation in the QS British Sustainability Ranking (Community - Environment - Governance). This success represents a continuous series of achievements for the university, not only through participation but also by attaining advanced positions in global rankings, securing a distinguished place among Egyptian and international universities.

Prof. Dr. Mansour explained that the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2024 is based on three main criteria: environmental impact, social impact, and governance. It also encompasses eight sub-criteria that entirely depend on the universities' influence on society and the academic sphere in environmental and social aspects. This emphasizes the university's significant role in global efforts to bring about environmental and social change, whether through scientific research, teaching, social engagement, or enhancing sustainability. He noted that this ranking made its first appearance last year and is considered globally significant.

Dr. Samaa El-Dak, the Director of the Office for International Rankings and Sustainable Development, extended her gratitude to Dr. Mansour Hassan, the university president, for his full support and encouragement of the university staff. She appreciated his efforts to increase international publications, which contribute to elevating the university's global ranking. Moreover, she highlighted the focus on raising awareness about sustainability concepts in line with the university's Integrated Environmental Management and Sustainability Strategy within the framework of governance and the country's 2030 plan to achieve desired progress at regional and international levels.
