President of Beni Suef University witnesses the activities of the 57th educational symposium organized by the Popular Defense Forces

  Today, Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, witnessed the activities of the 57th educational symposium, organized by the Popular and Military Defense Forces, led by Staff Brigadier General / Walid Al-Hamaki, Commander of the Popular and Military Defense Forces, in the presence of university’s vice presidents, a number of leaders of the Popular and Military Defense Forces, the governorate’s military advisor, and the director of the Department of Military Education at the university, a number of members of the House of Representatives and the Senate, scholars of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, the Egyptian Church, deans of colleges, and faculty members, in the presence of a remarkable number of students, at the university’s grand celebration hall.

During his speech, the University President welcomed the Major General / Walid Al-Hamaki, Commander of the Popular and Military Defense Forces, stressing the importance of the cultural symposium that aims to build and form awareness and correct knowledge by identifying the dangers of threats to national security, and works to consolidate the values of loyalty and belonging to all university employees, offering a tribute of appreciation and respect to our armed forces represented by the Popular and Military Defense Forces and their ancient and honorable history of heroism have been achieved to preserve the homeland and its capabilities, and what they are doing to protect the country’s internal front by confirming permanent readiness to confront crises.

The University President praised the continuous guidance of His Excellency President / Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on the necessity of investing in people, especially young people, and fostering their creative capabilities, due to their high potential and abilities that contribute to Egypt's prosperity and progress, in addition to his continuous motivation for innovation, spreading culture, supporting scientific research, and linking it to education and development.
Furthermore, the university president emphasized that the university's mission extends beyond imparting knowledge. It includes a crucial role in building awareness and enlightening the youth on various issues. The university aims to fortify their minds against extremist ideologies through continuous education, refining their skills, discovering talents, encouraging innovation, and fostering values of dedication and loyalty to the nation. This pursuit aligns with the objectives of knowledge, innovation, scientific research, all of which are fundamental elements of Egypt's Vision 2030 plan.

??Brigadier General Walid El-Hamaki conveyed the sincere regards of General Mohamed Zaki, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Military Production, as well as Lieutenant General Osama Askar, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, to all attendees. He expressed his delight at being among Egypt's youth, acknowledging that safeguarding the nation is no easy task. He affirmed that comprehensive development for Egypt is achieved through the dedication, efforts, and creativity of the youth, aiming to build the new republic in line with Egypt's Vision 2030.

He highlighted that Egypt has become more stable and resilient after facing challenges, crises, and problems. He emphasized the commitment of the Armed Forces and the Police to eliminate the dark terrorism without compromising Egypt's land. He paid tribute and admiration to the noble souls of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation. He emphasized that the purpose of such educational seminars is to enhance the awareness of youth, rectify misconceptions, and clarify the vision so that every citizen understands the state's projects aimed at serving the community.

Dr. Ghada Amer, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Egypt University of Science and Technology and a colleague at the National Defense College specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Technology, delivered a lecture on "Artificial Intelligence and its Impact on National Security: The Role of Technology in Asymmetric Warfare."

The educational seminar included a minute of silence to honor the nation's martyrs. The university's music and choir team presented several national songs and religious chants. A play was performed emphasizing the value of patriotism, along with a distinctive poetry session. The conclusion of the event involved honoring the families of martyrs from the governorate who sacrificed their lives for the country. Additionally, recognition was given to individuals with disabilities at the university, followed by an exchange of commemorative shields.
