.Beni Suef University organizes training for navigation science students at Damietta Port

The Faculty of Navigation Science and Space Technology at Beni Suef University, under the auspices of Dr. Mansour Hassan, the university president, and under the supervision of Dr. Osama Shelbia, the dean of the faculty, organized training for students at Damietta Port under the title "Vessel Tracking and Monitoring System VTMS for Ships Movement."
Dr. Mansour explained that the training program includes an introduction to the role of seaports in the maritime transport and international trade industry, maritime transport, satellites, modern communication systems, VTS and VTMIS systems in the "Medani" ship movement management tower, communication and monitoring systems in maritime tugs "Medani", water sections in maritime borders, in addition to a comparison between radar monitoring and satellite monitoring and the advantages of each.
Dr. Osama Shelbia, the dean of the faculty, thanked Brigadier General Ahmed Abdel-Moaty Hawash, the chairman of the board of directors of Damietta Port Authority, for his cooperation and providing the opportunity to train college students in order to ensure graduation of human cadres at the highest level in the field of navigation science and space technology, looking forward to more cooperation between the two sectors.
