President of Beni Suef University, training navigation science students at the National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced the training of students from the Faculty of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology at the National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research, based on the college’s keenness to link the scientific aspect with the practical and applied aspect and to achieve the highest benefit for students and graduate specialists with scientific and practical skills that keep pace with the development of the labor market.
Dr. Mansour explained that the College of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology is the first Egyptian and Arab college specializing in the fields of space navigation and space technology applications, and aims to graduate scientific cadres capable of working in the Arab, African and international space system.
Dr. Osama Shalabia, Dean of the College, explained that specialized summer training is being conducted for students within the Institute under the supervision of Dr. Ali Jamal, Head of the Communications and Seismology Laboratory at the National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research, and professors and engineers at the Institute, in the field of satellite communications, electronics, and embedded systems.
Pointing out that the training included 80 students from the fourth and fifth level teams of the space navigation and applied sciences for space and navigation programs for a period of three weeks, and the training included studying the following topics:
1. "FPGA" Field -Programmable Gate Array
2.IC Design
3. Satellite communication systems
4. Artificial Intelligence Case study
Training topics are considered extremely important to keep pace with the rapid development in satellite communications technology, artificial intelligence, and the design and manufacture of integrated circuits and embedded systems.
