President of Beni Suef University: Application for master's degree begins at the Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced today that the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Institute has started to accept submission for Research and Professional Master for the academic year 2020/2021, during the period from September 22nd to October 29th.
The university president explained that Egypt ranks first in the world in exports of aromatic oil and Beni Suef Governorate contains about 10.2% of the total area cultivated with medicinal plants at the level of the Republic, pointing out that medicinal and aromatic plants are one of the main sources of national income. This requires more research and studies in this field due to its importance, so the university took the initiative to establish the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Institute as one of the research and educational institutions in response to these requirements and within the framework of the university's ambitious research plan and the Egyptian state development plan 2030.
Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Higab, Dean of the Institute, pointed out that the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Institute is the first of its kind in this field in Egypt and the Middle East, and it has been established to become a distinguished academic research institute in medicinal and aromatic plants research at the local and international levels, explaining that the institute is keeping pace with Scientific progress on the world level and contributing to the development of the industry and production of medicinal and aromatic plants and applications based on them, providing innovative solutions in the field of plant research, and preparing qualified scientific cadres to meet the needs of the labor market.
Dr. Wael Hozin, Vice Dean of the Institute for Postgraduate Studies and Research added that the institute is looking forward to building partnerships with the industry sector, exporters and workers in the field of medicinal and aromatic plants, and that the scientific competencies in the institute are able to provide scientific advice and training to students and those interested in working in this field.
