Dr. Mansoor Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, issued a decree No. 1015 in 31 July , 2010, of the appointment  of Prof. 
 Dr/Ahmed Ahmed Farghaly, as  Dean for the faculty of   Graduate studies of Advanced Sciences in University for one year Dr. Ahmed Farghaly is Professor of Materials Science and Nanotechnology at the Graduate studies of Advanced Sciences. He was appointed as a lecturer in the Faculty of Science in 1996 and then obtained a master's degree from Cairo University and a doctorate from Minia University. He was promoted to assistant professor in physical chemistry and then professor of materials science and nanotechnology in the system of scientific excellence He has held several positions including the head of the Nanotechnology Department and the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research. At the university level, he  held a position of   director of the project support and financing office, the director of the central labs, the director of the scientific research development unit and then the executive director of the university performance development centerhe has more than 85 scientific research published in prestigious journals and an active research group and has a large number of research projects funded from outside and within the university. He is the principal researcher of the project to establish a Center for Excellence in Economic Production of Nanomaterials to meet the needs of the local market For his part, Dr. Mansour Hassan thanked Dr. Khaled Al-Nesr, former dean of the college, for his achievements during the period of the Deanship
