President of Beni Suef University attends symposium entitled "Water challenges facing Egypt" within the activities of the seventh environmental week

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, witnessed the activities of the seminar on water challenges facing Egypt in the framework of the seventh environmental week organized by the community service sector and environmental development under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hisham Bushra, Vice President for Sector's Affairs in the presence of Director of the Urban Planning Institute at Cairo University, with the participation of the Faculty of Earth Science, Space Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine and the Department of Geography at the Faculty of Arts.

The University President explained that the symposium will address the role of scientific research in national projects and projects of irrigation development and the use of modern methods in irrigation and all areas of water use within the framework of the strategy of water resources development in Egypt 2050, in addition to reviewing the main challenges and problems facing Egypt, including the problem of water shortage with increasing population density and in light of the construction of Al Nahda Dam, in addition to the presentation of various research activities and the most important studies in the field of water resources and maximize their utilization, and identifying the research possibilities of modern devices and advanced laboratories.
