Statement about what was raised about the lack of dyes at the university hospital in Beni Suef and purchase them from outside the hospital
The University seeks to provide a distinct health service to the people of the province and the neighboring provinces, thus it spares no effort to provide this service as:
First: The sections whose work depend on dyes (Catheterization and radiology), these specialties are available in hospitals affiliated to the Ministry of Health in addition to vascular and tract operations, emergency and gastrointestinal endoscopy. Noting that these specialties are located at the university hospital and do not exist at hospitals affiliated to the Ministry of Health in the province.
Second: Increasing rates of patients at University Hospital due to:
- Transforming the public hospital into a specialized hospital, which led to the reluctance of most patients from the governorate and neighboring governorates to treatment at it.
- Inclusion the hospital among hospitals in charge of terminating the waiting lists. The first phase of the waiting lists was successfully completed (about 500 cardiac catheterization operations were completed within 45 days).
- Existence of oncology department at the university hospital and the absence of it in the hospitals of the Ministry of Health
Fourthly: Regarding dyes and the manner of their provision
- A tender for the dyes was submitted on 17/7/2017 and no company submitted offers. The tender was re-issued on 10/1/2018 and no bids were submitted by the companies.
The purchase was made by buying as the same price of the Ministry of Health until September 2018 through Alcan Medical Company Until the prohibition of payment of any dues to the company according to the Ministry of Finance's publication, because of problems between the company and the tax authority
