Beni-Suef University President attends honoring ceremony of martyrs families and distinguished soldiers in literacy
Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni-Suef University, witnessed the ceremony organized by Military Education Department at the university to honor a number of martyrs' families in the province and the distinguished soldiers in literacy. This was at the major hall of celebrations, Ahab Ishmael at the campus.
The meeting was attended by Eng. / Sherif Habib, Beni-Suef Governor, Major General, Khalid Tawfiq, Commander of the Popular Defense Forces, Major General Garir Mustafa, Assistant Minister of Interior and Director of Security in Beni-Suef and Dr. Ashour Amri, Chairman of the General Authority for Literacy and Adult Education.
For his part, the university president welcomed the attendees stressing the importance of unity of all state institutions to eradicate illiteracy, pointing out that the university council is issuing a decision to oblige each student to erase the illiteracy of eight people as a condition of graduation .
The University President thanked Major General, Khalid Tawfiq, Commander of the Popular Defense Forces for his efforts and outstanding performance in the implementation of the National Literacy Mission in the governorate in cooperation with the Adult Education Authority, believing in the importance of participating in solving the issue of illiteracy because of its social, economic and political impact.
