President of Beni Suef University: New expansions at the Faculty of Physical Education
Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of University accompanied by Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Amin, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education, opened a Squash court, in the presence of a number of faculty members at the university and they witnessed a training match between two students on the new court after its opening to teach some basic skills under the supervision of specialized professors in the game.
After that, the Rector inaugurated a number of expansions and renovations of the College's facilities such as five-a-side football pitch, basketball court, handball court and the gymnasium compound which includes ( wrestling hall, fencing hall, judo hall, karate hall, boxing hall, weightlifting hall ). He also inspected the renovations and equipment in the unit of injuries and physiotherapy.
During his visit to the College, the University President also attended a meeting organized by students in the discussion hall in which the scientific sections were reviewed as well as the research and sports achievements during the previous period at the local and international levels. The most notable of these was the international recognition of Beni Suef University in organizing world championships in a number of sports.
The university president also opened the hockey playground and witnessed a friendly meeting between Al Sharkia and the team of the Faculty of Physical Education, Beni Suef University. This game is a part of the field training program for the college students. He also handed the medals and certificates of appreciation to the outstanding students who have achieved high positions at the local and international level, and a number of commemorative photographs were taken in recognition of their efforts and accomplishments.
The Dean of the College thanked Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan for his continuous support for the revival of the sports activity and his continuous support and response to any request that would improve the level of the College, so the Faculty of Physical Education became one of the largest establishments at the level of the Egyptian universities. He also thanked Prof. Dr. / Ahmed Abdel-Khaliq, former Vice President of the University for being the founder of the Faculty of Physical Education and the spiritual father of it.
