"Participation of youth in sustainable development" Conference for students of the Faculty of Economic Studies at Beni Suef University.
Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. / Amin Lotfy, President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Economic Studies and Political Science under the supervision of Prof. Dr. / Ali Massoud, Dean of the college will organize its first student conference entitled "The vision of youth in achieving sustainable development" during the period from
2 to 4 May, 2017.
Prof. Dr. / Amin Lotfy, Rector assured that the sustainable development includes many of the economic, environmental and social aspects and contains a lot of goals, the most important goal is the necessity of stimulating young people's participation in the completion of sustainable development plans in all projects in Egypt in 2030 and to raise awareness and build capacity of young people from student leadership of the University and equip them with some life skills in order to prepare them as a nucleus capable of carrying out the functions and dimensions of such development and the pursuit of the integration of students to achieve the objectives and criteria of sustainable development at the national and local levels.
Prof. Dr. / Ali Masood, pointed out that the conference includes many of axises, the most important of them is the economic one which includes the economic challenges facing Egypt and the Arab and African countries and the vision of young people on Sustainable Development in 2030, and mechanisms to attract and stimulate investment and the role of small and medium enterprises in the development and the role of the capital market in mobilizing savings, the political axis including the impact of new media on the political development and public opinion trends and its impact on young people's priorities, the role of the protest movements in the political decision-making, the impact of political marginalization and extremism within the community and also mechanisms of empowerment of young people in the Arab community .
