During its 263rd session, the Council of Beni Suef University—chaired by Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of the University—expressed its sincere wishes for a speedy recovery to all students injured in the bus accident that involved a group of the students. The Council affirmed that the university stands fully prepared to support the injured students and their families, providing all necessary resources until they have completely recovered, returned to their normal lives, and are able to resume their academic pursuits under the best possible conditions
During the council meeting, the university president briefed the members on his visit to the specialized hospital—undertaken alongside the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and the Executive Director of the university hospitals—to check on the health status of those injured and to monitor the level of medical care being provided to them following the incident
He explained that the visit included checking on the injured and communicating directly with the medical teams overseeing their treatment, to ensure that the necessary healthcare is provided in accordance with the highest medical standards. He also commended the efforts of the medical staff, who responded to the incident from the very first moments and acted swiftly to provide the required medical care
The university president confirmed that he had directed the immediate transfer of most of the cases to the university hospital to ensure access to specialized medical care. He also ordered that all university hospitals be placed on the highest state of alert to respond promptly to the aftermath of the incident, ensuring that the necessary medical equipment and personnel are available to monitor the patients around the clock. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of providing comprehensive support to the injured and their families—including healthcare, as well as psychological and social assistance—to help mitigate the impact of the incident and support the students throughout their treatment and recovery
He noted that the university is continuously monitoring the health status of those affected, in coordination with the relevant medical authorities, and emphasized that all necessary resources are being provided to ensure their full recovery
Concluded of the session, the council members expressed their full solidarity with the injured students and their families, praying for their swift recovery and for their safe return to their studies and normal lives as soon as possible
