Beni Suef University organizes a training workshop on "The Strategic Path to International Indexing" to develop the scientific journal publishing system.

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Scientific Journals Unit at the university organized the first day of a training workshop entitled: “The Strategic Path for International Indexing: A Roadmap for Academic Journals,” as part of the University ongoing efforts to develop the scientific publishing system and promote excellence and international dissemination in the field of scientific research and academic publishing
The workshop was organized under the supervision of Dr. Maha Ahmed Ibrahim Mohamed, the general coordinator and director of the Scientific Journals Unit at the university, and was presented by Mr. Mohamed Salah, director of the Scientific Journals Platform at the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, who reviewed the strategic paths and requirements for qualifying for inclusion in global databases and indexes
The university president affirmed that organizing such workshops and training events comes within the framework of the continuous commitment to raising the level of the scientific journals, enhancing the quality of academic publishing, and supporting the presence and dissemination in international scientific circles, noting that these steps contribute directly to raising ranking of the university and enhancing its research and academic standing at the regional and international levels
Dr. Tariq Ali added that the workshop included a detailed discussion of the most prominent paths and criteria necessary to assess the readiness of the university’s scientific journals to apply for inclusion in prestigious international databases and indexes, most notably (DOAJ), (Scopus), and (Web of Science)
For her part, Dr. Maha Ahmed Ibrahim Mohammed explained that the workshop represents a crucial opportunity to identify the strengths of journals, monitor aspects that require development, discuss mechanisms to improve the quality of scientific publishing and editing, and raise the technical and organizational standards of journals, thereby enhancing their chances of being included in international indexes and increasing their competitiveness in the field of peer-reviewed scientific publishing
