Beni-Suef University President: University Swimming Pool Complex Hosts Egyptian Swimming Federation’s Star Tests with More Than 300 Male and Female Swimmers Participating

Prof. Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni-Suef University, announced that the University’s Swimming Pool Complex is hosting the Star Tests accredited by the Egyptian Swimming Federation. The event is supervised by Dr. Nermeen Atef El-Sheimi, Executive Director of Kheirat El-Nile Company for Scientific Consultations; Dr. El-Husseiny Farag, Technical Director of the Swimming Pool Complex; and Dr. Mahmoud El-Fowaidi, Technical Supervisor of the Complex.

The University President explained that hosting this event reflects the University’s commitment to fulfilling its active role in community service and supporting various sports activities, particularly swimming. This contributes to discovering sporting talents and developing their abilities in accordance with approved technical standards. More than 300 male and female swimmers are participating in the tests under the supervision of a technical committee accredited by the Egyptian Swimming Federation, ensuring that approved technical and organizational standards are applied in evaluating participants.

He added that the Star Tests represent an important milestone in the development of young swimmers, providing them with an opportunity to demonstrate their technical and athletic skills. They also reflect the University’s ongoing efforts to provide an integrated sporting environment capable of accommodating a wide range of sports activities and events, serving residents of the governorate and the surrounding community, and strengthening the University’s position as an educational and community institution that contributes to developing young people’s athletic abilities.

Dr. Nermeen Atef noted that the Star Tests are among the essential requirements for registering swimmers with the Egyptian Swimming Federation and qualifying them to participate in official championships and competitions in accordance with the approved regulations. This gives the tests considerable importance in preparing a new generation of swimmers capable of competing and achieving sporting success.

Hosting this event confirms the readiness of Beni-Suef University’s Swimming Pool Complex and highlights its facilities and equipment, which qualify it to host major sporting events. It also underscores the Complex’s role in supporting the swimming sector, improving the performance of young swimmers, and strengthening cooperation with the Egyptian Swimming Federation.
