President of Beni Suef University Chairs the Meetings of the “Scientific Journals” and “Printing and Publishing” Units

Prof. Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, chaired the meetings of the Scientific Journals Unit and the Printing and Publishing Center. The meetings were attended by Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Maha Ahmed, General Coordinator of the Scientific Journals Unit; Dr. Nagy Radwan, Director of the Printing and Publishing Center; and members of the two boards.
During the meeting of the Scientific Journals Unit, the formation of the boards of directors and editorial boards was approved, along with the designation of financial and administrative officers for a number of academic journals published by the University. This included the Journal of Accounting and Auditing, affiliated with the Association of Arab Universities and published by the Faculty of Commerce, as well as the Journal of Financial and Commercial Studies, published by the University’s Faculty of Commerce. In the medical sector, the meeting also approved the formation of the editorial board for the Endocrinology, Diabetes, Metabolism and Obesity Journal (EDMO), published by the Faculty of Medicine.
In a related context, the Board reviewed the plan for developing the research and international publishing sector. It was decided to begin preparations for holding the First Scientific Conference of Scientific Journals, scheduled to take place in October 2026. The conference will be preceded by a series of specialized training courses and workshops aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the journals and developing their publishing standards. The meeting also approved the immediate commencement of executive procedures for establishing a digital repository for scientific journals, thereby supporting digital transformation and facilitating electronic access to research outputs.
Meanwhile, the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Printing and Publishing Center addressed a number of strategic areas aimed at supporting the University’s educational and research system. The meeting reviewed the plan to expand the provision of all printing supplies and materials and to complete the essential raw materials required. It also discussed ways to enhance the Center’s production capacity and ensure the efficient and regular operation of its activities, thereby meeting the needs of the faculties and ensuring the provision of services in accordance with the highest quality standards.
