Beni Suef University Discusses the Comprehensive Framework for University Performance Evaluation and Develops an Institutional Target Plan

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the University held an extensive meeting to discuss the comprehensive framework for evaluating university performance in accordance with the Supreme Council of Universities' model for the 2026/2027 academic year, and to develop target plans for the University's institutional indicators. This aims to ensure the University's readiness for institutional review and evaluation processes while consolidating quality and development standards.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Hamada Mohamed Mahmoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Yasser Gaber, Scientific Advisor to the University President; Dr. Heba Atef El-Shemy, Director of the Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation; Dr. Abeer Sayed Moawad, Director of the University Performance Development Center and Deputy Director of the Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation; Dr. Mohamed Sayed Qayed, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence; Dr. Samaa El-Daq, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Advanced Sciences and Director of the International Rankings and Sustainable Development Office; Dr. Rehab Youssef, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Fatma Hanafy, Director of the Training and Conferences Office; and Dr. Hemmat Mohamed Fayoumi, Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Office at the University Performance Development Center.
Dr. Tarek Ali affirmed the University's adoption of the institutional evaluation model issued by the Supreme Council of Universities as part of its ongoing commitment to keeping pace with the latest university performance standards and promoting a culture of indicator-based, measurable performance. He stressed that the success of this approach requires concerted efforts across all academic, administrative, and service sectors of the University, with clear responsibilities for data collection and regular, accurate monitoring.
The University President explained that the implementation process will be subject to continuous periodic monitoring, with regular reports to be submitted on the progress achieved under each pillar of the comprehensive framework. He also emphasized adherence to the specified timeline for approving targets to ensure the highest levels of institutional readiness.
Dr. Tarek Ali noted that the comprehensive framework comprises 92 key performance indicators distributed across six strategic pillars: educational efficiency and an integrated student environment; research excellence, innovation, and development; community impact and internationalization; governance and institutional excellence; financial sustainability and resource efficiency; and digital transformation and the smart campus.
He pointed out that each indicator will have a clear definition and precise classification, with a designated entity responsible for data collection and another authorized entity responsible for its validation.
The University President directed that realistic and progressive targets be established for each indicator over the next five years, from 2026/2027 to 2030/2031, as a fundamental step toward implementing a comprehensive institutional monitoring system. He also called for the preparation of a unified data collection form to ensure accurate monitoring, establish mechanisms for data verification, and integrate the process with the University's internal quality assurance system, which would positively impact the University's international ranking indicators.
Dr. Tarek Ali added that the University places considerable emphasis on the role of its specialized centers and offices in supporting and training research and administrative personnel, as well as qualifying indicator coordinators at the faculty level through training workshops on documentation and data-entry mechanisms. He further emphasized linking innovation and entrepreneurship indicators with the pillars of research excellence and utilizing advanced digital tools to facilitate data analysis and connect faculty-level evidence with quality indicators.
