Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni-Suef University, the Board of Directors of the University Performance Development Center, under the supervision of Dr. Abeer Sayed Moawad, Director of the Center, reviewed the achievements report of the Scholarship Affairs Follow-up Office for the 2025–2026 academic year. The report was prepared by Dr. Shaimaa Nabil El-Nahhas, Director of the Office, as part of the University's ongoing commitment to advancing academic excellence, strengthening its research ecosystem, and maximizing the potential of its academic talent.
Dr. Tarek Ali stated that these extensive efforts reflect Beni-Suef University's vision of fostering international academic collaboration and localizing knowledge, thereby enhancing the University's academic standing and supporting its performance in global rankings and international indicators. He commended the Office's continuous efforts in monitoring scholarship recipients and providing comprehensive support to researchers, faculty members, and teaching assistants.
The Acting President also highlighted the Office's developmental and knowledge-driven vision during the current academic year, noting that its strategy was built around three key pillars: localizing international expertise, accelerating digital transformation, and preparing qualified academic staff to compete for scholarships and international fellowship opportunities.
The report outlined the first pillar, "Localizing International Expertise and Leveraging the Experience of Scholarship Recipients," which represented the cornerstone of the Office's activities this year. The Office successfully launched the Specialized Research Skills Development Program, delivered by Beni-Suef University scholars currently studying abroad. Beyond its administrative responsibilities, the Office established effective channels of communication to transfer expertise gained from leading international institutions. Scholarship recipients abroad actively participated in a dedicated online seminar, sharing advanced knowledge and research skills with faculty members, teaching assistants, and undergraduate students. This initiative aimed to maximize the University's knowledge return while enhancing the quality of its research and educational outcomes.
Under the second pillar, the report highlighted the Office's continued digital transformation efforts through the development of a comprehensive and dynamic database of returning scholarship recipients, in addition to conducting a detailed inventory of faculty members currently abroad. This database serves as a strategic knowledge repository, enabling the University to identify and engage specialized experts whenever needed and coordinate their contributions to research projects and academic workshops that support the educational process at Beni-Suef University.
Regarding the third pillar, the report noted that the Office organized nine intensive workshops and seminars covering both the medical sciences and the humanities. These activities targeted faculty members, teaching assistants, and undergraduate students, aiming to prepare a highly competitive generation capable of securing international scholarships and fellowship opportunities. The initiative was further supported by activating direct communication channels through designated liaison officers in each faculty to ensure the highest level of readiness for scholarship applications. In addition, the Office actively participated in the regular meetings of the General Administration of Scholarships at the Ministry of Higher Education to align the University's plans with Egypt's national strategy for scientific research.
