Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, reviewed a report submitted by the Board of Directors of the University Performance Development Center, under the supervision of Dr. Abeer Sayed Moawad, highlighting the activities and achievements of the Consultancy and Research-Industry Linkage Office during the 2025/2026 academic year. The report was prepared by Dr. Hemmat Mohamed Fayyoumi, Director of the Office.
The Consultancy and Research-Industry Linkage Office, affiliated with the University Performance Development Center, continued to implement a wide range of specialized initiatives and programs that strengthened collaboration with the industrial sector, supported researchers and innovators, and expanded institutional partnerships.
Dr. Tarek Ali stated that the Office achieved remarkable results in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship during the academic year. Among its key accomplishments was the organization of the "From Idea to Product" Applied Research Conference, which attracted 102 research projects from various faculties across the University. The projects underwent 40 evaluation sessions, resulting in the selection of 32 outstanding projects to participate in the conference, reflecting the high quality of the innovative research ideas presented by students and researchers.
To prepare participants for the conference, the Office directed them to attend 12 specialized training programs. They also took part in eight entrepreneurship and innovation training programs organized through Egypt's Innovators and Geniuses Care Fund, in addition to four awareness sessions and training programs conducted within the University.
The Office also expanded its collaboration with the industrial sector by communicating with 32 companies and manufacturing firms, inviting them to participate in the conference and explore promising research projects, thereby creating opportunities for investment and collaboration in university innovations.
In addition, the Office continued the procedures necessary to conclude a cooperation protocol with the Kom Abu Radi Industrial Investors Association, aiming to establish strategic partnerships that support the University's objectives in innovation and sustainable development.
Dr. Abeer Sayed Moawad added that the Office strengthened communication with organizations supporting entrepreneurship and innovation by organizing two field visits to the Digital Egypt Innovation Hub, affiliated with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA), with the objective of exploring opportunities for cooperation and benefiting from programs that support innovators and entrepreneurs.
At the institutional level, the Office participated in several specialized scientific events, including the First Arab Observatory for Science, Technology and Innovation Conference, the International Research Commercialization and Innovation Expo (IRC EXPO), and the "Researcher to Entrepreneur" program launched by the Innovators and Geniuses Care Fund. These participations further enhanced the University's presence in scientific forums dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship.
The report underscores the vital role played by the Consultancy and Research-Industry Linkage Office in building effective bridges between the University and the industrial and investment sectors, supporting researchers and innovators, maximizing the impact of scientific research outputs, and transforming them into practical applications and value-added projects. These efforts are fully aligned with Beni Suef University's vision of contributing to sustainable development and advancing a knowledge-based economy driven by innovation.
