Beni Suef University Highlights the Achievements of the International Cooperation Office to Strengthen Academic Partnerships and Global Engagement

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Board of Directors of the University Performance Development Center, under the supervision of Dr. Abeer Sayed Moawad, reviewed the annual achievements report of the International Cooperation and External Relations Office for the 2025/2026 academic year. The report was prepared by Dr. Eman Gad Kandil, Director of the Office.
Dr. Tarek Ali emphasized that Beni Suef University places great importance on strengthening academic and research cooperation with international universities and institutions as part of its strategy to enhance its regional and global standing. He noted that the University is committed to creating new opportunities for faculty members, researchers, and students through scientific collaboration, academic exchange programs, and international scholarships. He further affirmed that the International Cooperation and External Relations Office serves as one of the University's key pillars in implementing its internationalization strategy and expanding its global presence.
The Acting President explained that the Office witnessed significant activity during the academic year in expanding the University's international network. Its efforts included coordinating meetings with several prestigious international universities, preparing and following up on memoranda of understanding and academic and research cooperation agreements, promoting international funding opportunities and scholarship programs, and monitoring collaboration opportunities offered by global organizations and institutions. These initiatives have provided valuable opportunities for faculty members, researchers, and students while supporting the University's strategic objectives and Egypt Vision 2030.
Dr. Eman Gad Kandil added that throughout the academic year, the International Cooperation and External Relations Office continued to serve as the University's primary link with international universities and organizations. The Office coordinated the visit of American expert Dr. Douglas Rainey and organized meetings with the University of South Dakota, Paris-Saclay University, ESDI, and Hellenic Open University in preparation for establishing cooperation agreements in education and scientific research.
The Office also participated in meetings and conferences of the BRICS University League, as well as training programs organized by the People's Republic of China in 2026 within the framework of strengthening Egyptian-Chinese cooperation in higher education and scientific research. In addition, it took part in the Egyptian-French Forum for Higher Education and Scientific Research and followed collaboration opportunities offered through Horizon Europe, the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Fulbright Egypt, the British Council, and other international organizations.
She further noted that the Office continued to provide technical and advisory support to faculty members and teaching assistants regarding international scholarships and academic exchange programs. Its responsibilities also included reviewing and drafting international agreements and memoranda of understanding, preparing a comprehensive guide to international scholarships and application procedures, maintaining continuous coordination with the University's faculties to expand joint activities with international partners, and promoting the University's academic and research capabilities internationally, thereby enhancing its reputation and creating new opportunities for strategic partnerships.
For her part, Dr. Abeer Sayed Moawad expressed her sincere appreciation to the Acting President of the University for his continuous support of the Center and its affiliated offices, affirming that this support has been instrumental in achieving these accomplishments.
