Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, announced the release of the comprehensive annual statistical summary of the Faculty of Physical Therapy's outpatient clinics for the academic year 2025-2026. The report reveals a significant leap in performance indicators and the volume of medical and therapeutic services provided to citizens. This report reflects the great success achieved by the Faculty in providing distinguished therapeutic, educational, and community services that align with the university's vision of developing the regional healthcare system. This vision relies on qualified medical personnel and the latest medical equipment and technologies to meet the growing needs of patients across various vital specialties.
The university president explained that the annual statistics showed that the outpatient clinics received a total of 3,076 patients throughout the year. The number of patients was distributed monthly, starting with July 2025, which recorded the highest number at 347 patients, followed by August with 257, then September and October with 338 each, November with 344, December with 343, January with 245, February with 153, March with 170, April with 175, May with 162, and finally June with 204. This total included 2,647 treatment sessions and 429 comprehensive patient assessments.
Dr. Sherine Mohanna pointed out the distribution of patient cases by medical specialty, with orthopedics topping the list with a total of 1,185 cases (38.5%). Neurology came in second with 874 cases (28.4%), followed by pediatrics with 543 cases (17.7%), surgery and burns with 291 cases (9.5%), women's health with 183 cases (6.0%), and finally, cardiothoracic and vascular rehabilitation with 200 cases (6.5%). This integrated system relies on a distinguished and highly efficient team of 14 physical therapists, along with 45 faculty members and assistants, all of whom participate in providing a diverse range of essential medical services. These services include comprehensive examination and assessment in specialized physical therapy sessions, treatment of back and joint pain, women's health rehabilitation, as well as integrated mobility rehabilitation programs, health awareness, and prevention.
