Social Service Department in Beni Suef holds its annual conferences for its academic departments for the academic year 2025/2026

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the five
academic departments of the Faculty of Social and Developmental Work held
Its annual conferences for the academic year 2025/2026 on Sunday and Monday, July 5 and 6, in accordance with the provisions of the Universities Organization Law, and in a manner that reflects the college’s keenness to support scientific research, develop the academic process and enhance its role in serving the community. This was under the supervision of Dr. Hindawi Abdallahi Hassan, Dean of the College, and with the follow-up of Dr. Muhammad Abdul Rahim, Vice Dean of the College for Graduate Studies and Research, and with the distinguished attendance of faculty members, assistant staff, researchers and graduate students. The sessions witnessed rich scientific discussions to exchange experiences and research visions in a way that contributes to raising the professional practice of social work and keeping up with scientific developments in various disciplines.
The university president explained that the conferences addressed a number of priority scientific and research issues aimed at developing scientific knowledge in social work disciplines and enhancing integration between theoretical and applied aspects, which contributes to preparing academic and professional cadres capable of dealing with current and future societal challenges in accordance with the latest global scientific trends. He pointed out that the titles of the conferences of the five departments included: the Department of Working with Individuals under the title “Clinical Social Work”, the Department of Working with Groups under the title “Working with Groups: Visions of Modernization and Innovation”, the Department of Working with Communities under the title “Professional Intervention in Community Organization Research”, the Department of Planning and Social Welfare Policies under the title “Indicative Planning and Achieving Egypt’s Vision 2030”, and the Department of Social Work Fields under the title “Evidence-Based Practice in Emerging Social Work Fields”.
The university president also pointed out the importance of employing the results of scientific research in developing professional practice, supporting sustainable development efforts, and strengthening the partnership between the university and community institutions, based on the pivotal role played by the Faculty of Social Work and Development in producing knowledge, building human beings, and providing innovative scientific solutions to societal issues. He emphasized that these conferences embody the faculty's vision of being a house of expertise and a beacon of scientific knowledge, contributing to building a more aware and capable society to face challenges, through sound scientific research, and preparing social workers who possess professional competence and the ability to be creative and innovative, in line with the goals of Egypt's Vision 2030 and the state's strategy towards achieving sustainable development and building the new republic.
Dr. Hindawi Abdallahi Hassan, Dean of the Faculty, expressed his appreciation for the success of the conferences, which concluded with a set of important scientific recommendations. These recommendations emphasized the need to support applied research, encourage interdisciplinary studies, and promote a culture of innovation and research excellence. They also stressed the importance of expanding cooperation between academic departments and various academic and community institutions, thereby fulfilling the Faculty's mission to serve the community and contribute to building a future based on knowledge, scientific research, and sustainable development.
