A documentary film was also screened, highlighting the work of the Military Medical Committee, the support provided to persons with disabilities, and the procedures for obtaining employment cards.
During the ceremony, Dr. Tarek Ali expressed his great pride and happiness in the university’s students, whom he described as true “Champions of Determination.” He emphasized that such initiatives reflect the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, to provide comprehensive support and care for persons with disabilities and ensure that they enjoy a dignified and stable life through the provision of all necessary services and facilities.
Dr. Ali also praised the significant national and social role played by the Egyptian Armed Forces, represented by the Recruitment and Mobilization Administration, in easing burdens on students and facilitating the completion of their military status procedures on campus. He further extended his sincere appreciation to parents, describing them as the “unsung heroes” behind their children’s achievements and excellence.
He affirmed that Beni-Suef University takes great pride in its pioneering role in supporting persons with disabilities. He noted that the university’s efforts extend beyond academics to promoting awareness of the rights of persons with disabilities and best practices for supporting and interacting with them. The university continues to dedicate all its human and material resources to serving its students, facilitating their enrollment in programs suited to their abilities, supporting their academic journey through accessible learning resources such as Braille, and ensuring comprehensive support during examinations.
In a related address, Major General Abdullah Abdel Aziz, Governor of Beni-Suef, commended the ongoing coordination and cooperation between the university, the governorate, and the Armed Forces in serving citizens. He stressed that the governorate remains fully committed to supporting persons with disabilities, removing obstacles that may hinder their full integration into society, and enabling them to contribute their positive capabilities and potential.
For his part, Brigadier General Ahmed Mohamed Abu El-Fotouh, Director of the Minya Recruitment and Mobilization Zone, expressed his pleasure at being present at Beni-Suef University.
