Acting President of Beni Suef University Receives Dr. Hany Gomaia, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, and His Delegation to Discuss Cooperation Opportunities for Serving the Beni Suef Community and Promoting Health Awareness

Professor Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, received Dr. Hany Gomaia, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Beni Suef, and his accompanying delegation to discuss avenues of joint cooperation in the fields of reproductive health, health awareness, and support for presidential health initiatives. The meeting aimed to enhance community services and improve the quality of life for citizens in Beni Suef Governorate.
The meeting was attended by Professor Shaaban Mobarez, Financial Advisor to the University; Professor Mamdouh Mekawy, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication; Professor Diaa El-Din Mostafa, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts; Mr. Mohamed Selim, Secretary-General of the University; and Ms. Azza Mohamed Hassan, Director General of Public Relations and Media. The Health Directorate delegation included Dr. Mostafa Abdo, Director of the Information Center; Dr. Shaimaa Emam, Director of Family Planning; Dr. Narmin Mahmoud, Director of Public Relations; and Mr. Ahmed Kamal, Director of the Office of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health.
Professor Tarek Ali emphasized the university’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with various state institutions, particularly the Health Directorate, in support of developmental and awareness-raising efforts throughout the governorate. He highlighted the importance of utilizing the university’s academic and scientific capabilities to serve the community and enhance public health awareness.
The meeting addressed mechanisms for cooperation in developing and implementing a comprehensive health awareness plan targeting various segments of society, with particular emphasis on reproductive health, family planning, and raising awareness of presidential health initiatives and their role in improving healthcare services and public health indicators.
Both parties also discussed ways to benefit from the academic and professional expertise available within the university’s faculties to support awareness campaigns and activities organized by the Health Directorate. In addition, they explored opportunities for cooperation in designing and developing a unified visual identity for health messages and campaigns, thereby increasing their effectiveness and improving their reach to target audiences.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Professor Tarek Ali presented the University Shield to Dr. Hany Gomaia, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, affirming the importance of integration and cooperation between the university and the Health Directorate as two key partners in serving the community of Beni Suef. He stressed the significance of implementing joint programs and initiatives that promote health awareness, support sustainable development efforts, and improve the quality of life for citizens across the governorate.
