A student was caught using "smart glasses" to cheat during exams at the Faculty of Law in Beni Suef.

Professor Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, announced the successful efforts of the examination monitoring system at the Faculty of Law in thwarting an innovative cheating attempt in which a student used advanced technological equipment to gain an unfair advantage during an examination.
One of the examination committees of the French Section detected and apprehended a student while taking an examination wearing an unconventional pair of prescription glasses equipped with wireless Bluetooth technology. The discovery came after invigilators noticed suspicious and unusual behavior on the part of the student, prompting them to conduct a thorough inspection of the items in his possession.
Following an examination of the glasses and questioning the student, it was revealed that he had used the device to establish a secret wireless connection with an individual outside the university campus, who was allegedly providing answers to the examination questions. This practice constituted a clear violation of the principles of academic integrity and equal opportunity among students.
The Faculty administration confiscated the electronic glasses and prepared an official report documenting the incident. The student was subsequently referred to the competent legal authorities for further investigation.
Professor Tarek Ali emphasized that the university places great importance on promoting discipline, commitment, academic integrity, and scientific transparency. He stressed that there would be no tolerance for violations and that university regulations and disciplinary measures would be enforced rigorously against offenders.
He further noted that the use of advanced technological devices by some students to engage in dishonest academic practices would not provide protection from accountability or enable them to evade legal and disciplinary consequences. The university remains committed to applying all necessary measures to ensure a fair, transparent, and ethical educational environment for all students.
