“Beyond the Code”: A Scholarly Study on Power, Culture, and Society in the Age of Artificial Intelligence at Beni Suef University

Under the patronage of Professor Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the university continues its research leadership in supporting academic advancement by enriching the Arabic library with distinguished scholarly publications that keep pace with contemporary technological transformations.
Professor Azza El-Gohary, Dean of the Faculty, announced the publication of the latest distinguished academic work by Dr. Qiati Ashour, Lecturer of Sociology at the Faculty, entitled "Beyond the Code: Power, Culture, and Society in the Age of Artificial Intelligence," published by University Book House in the United Arab Emirates.
The Acting President of the University praised this work as a strategic step that enhances the university’s position in international rankings and reflects the efforts of faculty members in producing intellectual contributions that serve researchers at both the local and regional levels. He noted that the book opens new avenues for research, encouraging the development of scientific studies as well as master's and doctoral theses related to the era of artificial intelligence. He further emphasized that the book enables researchers to better understand the mechanisms of the digital age and highlights the vital role of the humanities in analyzing and interpreting the technological challenges shaping our world today and in the future.
This publication represents an unprecedented addition to the Arabic academic library, as it is considered one of the first works to provide a comprehensive theoretical foundation in the field of the Sociology of Artificial Intelligence. The book's intellectual value extends far beyond a technical explanation of intelligent systems, delving deeply into their human and social dimensions. Through a critical and innovative perspective, the author examines how algorithms and code creators influence traditional structures of power, reshape patterns of human labor, and raise fundamental questions concerning the future of digital sovereignty within modern societies.
