Beni Suef University reveals its most prominent results in international rankings during 2025/2026

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of the University, announced the release of a comprehensive infographic showcasing the university's most prominent results in international rankings for the academic year 2025/2026. This reflects the continuous development in academic and research performance and underscores the university's distinction among higher education institutions at both the regional and international levels.
The university president explained that the infographic highlights several important indicators. The university comprises 32 colleges and institutes across various disciplines, with a total student body of 89,598, including 78,768 undergraduate students and 10,830 postgraduate students, reflecting its academic diversity and broad educational base.
He added that the infographic addresses the university's results in the Shanghai Ranking – Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) 2025, where the university achieved a distinguished accomplishment by entering the top 200 universities globally in Veterinary Science (151–200 range). It also ranked in the 301–400 range globally in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Agricultural Sciences. Furthermore, it reviews the results of the Times Higher Education rankings for 2025/2026, which showed the university's inclusion in the 1001–1200 range globally in the 2026 World University Rankings and its 61st position in the Arab world in the 2025 Arab University Rankings. Additionally, it appeared in the subject rankings within the 601–800 range globally in the fields of Medical and Health Sciences, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Engineering, while it ranked within the 801–1000 range globally in Computer Science. The infographic also highlights the university's results in the 2025/2026 QS World University Rankings, where it ranked in the 1201–1400 range globally in the overall ranking, 99th in the Arab world and 7th nationally, and 746th globally and 8th nationally in the Sustainability Ranking.
The university president emphasized that these results reflect the significant efforts exerted by the university administration and all its sectors in supporting scientific research, promoting international publications, developing academic programs, and expanding interdisciplinary specializations. This contributes to improving the university's global ranking and solidifying its position as a leading Egyptian university with a growing international presence.
Dr. Sama El-Daq, Director of the International Ranking and Sustainable Development Office, pointed to the rankings at the subject level, noting that Pharmacy and Pharmacology achieved a global ranking of 251–300, while Agriculture and Forestry came in the 351–400 range, and Chemistry in the 551–600 range. Medicine and Biological Sciences, however, appeared in the 651–700 range globally.
Regarding other international rankings, Beni Suef University achieved 676th place globally and 14th place nationally in the U.S. rankings. News 2026 ranked Beni Suef University 372nd globally and 7th nationally in the UI GreenMetric 2025 ranking. It also ranked 848th globally and 13th nationally in the URAP 2024/2025 ranking, and achieved 1356th globally and 9th nationally in the CWUR 2025 ranking. Additionally, it appeared in 8th place nationally in the Nature Index 2025.
It is worth noting that the university's International Rankings and Sustainability Office, led by Dr. Samaa El-Daq, oversees the monitoring and analysis of international performance indicators and works to enhance the university's presence in various global rankings, supporting its pursuit of excellence and international competitiveness.
