Beni Suef University organizes an awareness campaign to protect data and confront cyber violence in cooperation with the National Council for Women.

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the university, in cooperation with the local branch of the National Council for Women, organized a comprehensive awareness campaign entitled "Data Protection in the Digital Age and the Dangers of Cyber Violence and Information Technology Crimes." The first event of the campaign was launched within the Faculty of Political Science and Economics, under the supervision of Dr. Abu El-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Mohamed Nour El-Basrati, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Mohamed Ali, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Ghada Atef, Director of the University's Anti-Violence Unit, Dr. Ghada Zayan, Coordinator of the Unit at the Faculty of Political Science and Economics, and Ms. Narmin Mahmoud, Head of the local branch of the National Council for Women. The event included an educational seminar presented by Ms. Amal Gamal, a lawyer at the Women's Complaints Office, which witnessed a large student turnout and significant interaction.

Dr. Tarek Ali pointed out that launching this campaign comes as a complement to the university’s role in protecting students against emerging risks in the digital space, stressing that the partnership with the National Council for Women aims to spread legal and technical awareness and provide the necessary protection from information technology crimes, in line with the state’s vision towards safe digital transformation.

Dr. Tariq Ali expressed his gratitude to the university's anti-violence unit and the National Council's women's complaints office, praising the meticulous organization and rich content presented by the campaign in its first phase, and emphasizing that the activities will continue to include various university faculties to ensure that the awareness message reaches the largest number of students.

For his part, Dr. Mohammed Noor Al-Basrati, Dean of the College of Politics and Economics, explained that the college was proud to host the launch point of this important campaign, noting that the seminar focused on the practical aspects of protecting personal data and ways to deal legally with cases of cyber violence, which contributes to building a student personality that is aware and capable of dealing with contemporary technological challenges.
