Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, attended the “The Virtues of the Last Ten Days of Ramadan” celebration organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, under the supervision of Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel-Mawjoud, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and in the presence of Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Mahmoud Sidqi Sadiq Al-Hawari, Assistant Secretary-General for Da’wah and Religious Media at the Islamic Missions Complex, Sheikh Reda Mohamed Abdel-Halim, Director-General of the Beni Suef Preaching Zone and Head of the Fatwa and Reconciliation Committee, Sheikh Ahmed Mohamed Hassan, the General Preacher in the Beni Suef Zone, and a number of faculty members, employees, and students.
The celebration began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a number of religious supplications.
During his speech, Dr. Tariq Ali emphasized that celebrating the virtues of the last ten days of Ramadan stems from the university's commitment to strengthening religious and humanitarian values among its students and staff. He noted that these blessed days represent a great opportunity to draw closer to God and spread the spirit of love and tolerance among all. He affirmed that the university's mission is not limited to education alone, but extends to building religious and cultural awareness among its students.
Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel-Mawjoud explained that organizing this celebration comes within the framework of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector’s plan to increase religious awareness and promote moral values, pointing out the importance of taking advantage of the spiritual atmosphere in the holy month of Ramadan to consolidate the principles of solidarity and compassion among members of society.
The esteemed sheikhs expressed their gratitude to the university president for the sincere efforts of the university administration in organizing such religious activities and events, which contribute to developing religious and cultural awareness among students and help them utilize the blessed month of Ramadan to draw closer to God and perform good deeds. This, in turn, has a profound impact on building a well-rounded student personality—academically, culturally, and morally. They then discussed the virtues of the last ten days of Ramadan, which God Almighty has magnified and mentioned in the Holy Quran. These days are the culmination of the blessed month, a golden opportunity for worshippers, and a time for those striving in devotion. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his companions used to draw closer to God Almighty through all forms of worship, as these days encompass divine gifts, especially the greatest reward: Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree).
