Beni Suef University Holds an Awareness Seminar on “The Role of Feasibility Studies in Developing Small and Medium Enterprises”

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Institute of Small and Medium Enterprises Studies organized an awareness seminar entitled “The Role of Preparing Feasibility Studies in the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises.”* The event was held under the supervision of Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel Mawgoud, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Dr. Abdullah Hussein Younes, Dean of the Institute. It was attended by Dr. Nada Shaaban Youssef, Vice Dean of the Institute for Graduate Studies, Dr. Ahmed Hussein Youssef, Vice Dean for Environmental Affairs, Dr. Mahmoud Badawy Ahmed, Assistant Professor of Business Administration at the Faculty of Commerce, and Mr. Ali Metwally, Director of the Finance Department at the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency in Beni Suef, with active participation from researchers and individuals interested in entrepreneurship.

Dr. Tarek Ali explained that this seminar comes within the framework of Beni Suef University’s strategy aimed at strengthening the link between scientific research and the actual needs of society, particularly in the small and medium enterprises sector, which is considered a fundamental pillar of the national economy. He emphasized that the University seeks to provide an academic environment that fosters innovation and offers scientific and practical solutions contributing to the development of entrepreneurs’ capacities and supporting them in facing various challenges, in line with the State’s sustainable development plan.

For his part, Dr. Abdullah Hussein Younes, Dean of the Institute of Small and Medium Enterprises Studies, expressed his appreciation for the continuous support provided by the University’s presidency to the Institute’s activities. He stressed the paramount importance of preparing feasibility studies as a proactive step that ensures the success and sustainability of projects, as they help entrepreneurs determine the economic, technical, and marketing feasibility of their projects, make well-informed investment decisions that reduce the risks of failure or financial waste, and direct resources toward activities that achieve the greatest developmental return.
