A delegation from Beni Suef University conducts a field visit to the Command of the Saa‘qa (Thunderbolt) Forces as part of a series of national visits to military units and national projects of the Egyptian state.

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, and within the framework of the University’s keenness to raise students’ awareness, acquaint them with the achievements of the Armed Forces and their high capabilities, strengthen the spirit of national belonging, and highlight the role of the valiant Egyptian Armed Forces in protecting the nation’s resources and safeguarding the homeland,

the University, in cooperation with the Command of the Popular and Military Defense Forces, the Military Education Administration, and the University’s faculties, organized a field visit to the Command of the Egyptian Saa‘qa (Thunderbolt) Forces.

The visit was attended by Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President of the University for Education and Students Affairs, and Colonel Khaled Nabil, Director of the Military Education Administration, with the participation of the Faculties of Tourism and Hotels, and Navigation Sciences and Space Technology. The University delegation was received by Major General Staff Officer Mustafa Ouda, Chief of Staff of the Popular and Military Defense Forces, and Major General Staff Officer Abdel Qader Emara, Commander of the Egyptian Saa‘qa Forces.

Dr. Tarek Ali, President of the University, stated that such field visits come in line with the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to enhance the awareness of university youth and familiarize them with the efforts exerted by the Egyptian state in the field of national security, while reaffirming the role of the Armed Forces in protecting the country’s borders and resources. He noted that these occasions enable students to interact with Armed Forces units and provide them with the opportunity to visit national projects that reflect national achievements across various fields. They also aim to activate the student activities plan to develop students’ cultural and cognitive skills and capacities and to build their personalities, thereby strengthening their sense of belonging to the homeland and their awareness of their societal role.

Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President of the University for Education and Students Affairs, emphasized the University’s commitment to raising students’ awareness and acquainting them with the achievements and high capabilities of the Armed Forces, contributing to the formation of a nationally conscious personality that is aware of security challenges and capable of effective participation in the path of development and construction toward the horizons of the New Republic.

The tour included an inspection visit to the main training field, the screening of a documentary film on the establishment and development of the Saa‘qa Forces, and live demonstrations of physical fitness training and various combat skills that distinguish members of these special units, in addition to inspecting accommodation areas and training facilities. The delegation observed exemplary models of discipline and dedication demonstrated by Saa‘qa Forces personnel, and the deterrent strength they represent in supporting the stability and security of the nation.

The delegation expressed their great happiness and pride in what they witnessed during the visit, affirming their full confidence in the ability of the Egyptian Armed Forces to protect the homeland and preserve its resources, and commending the tremendous efforts and sacrifices made by the men of the Egyptian Army for the security and stability of the country.

At the conclusion of the visit, shields were exchanged between both sides. The Vice President of the University for Education and Students Affairs expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the warm reception and the rich information provided to the students, wishing Egypt and its Armed Forces continued success and prosperity.
