The President of Beni Suef University Attends the Events of “Unity Day… and University Inclusion” to Raise Students’ Awareness on Interacting with People of Determination

Today, Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, attended the events of “Unity Day… and University Inclusion,” organized by the General Administration of Youth Welfare in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports at the Faculty of Commerce Theater, as part of the national project to raise youth awareness on interacting with individuals with intellectual disabilities in practical life for university and institute students. The event was attended by Dr. Hamada Mohamed Mahmoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Eid Abu Bakr, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce; Mr. Mohamed Selim, University Secretary-General; Mr. Ibrahim Ragab, representative of the Ministry of Youth; Mr. Ahmed Sarhan, Director of Initiatives at Special Olympics; and Captain Mohamed Farouk, Director-General of Youth Welfare.
The University President explained that the event represents a pioneering step toward reinforcing the values of humanity and solidarity within the university community. He expressed his pleasure with the fruitful cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports in educating and informing students about the importance of integrating people of determination into university and professional life, especially since individuals with disabilities possess abilities and potential that deserve to be recognized. He added that the event delivers a clear message that unity and inclusion have become a sustainable course of action.
