He pointed out that this distinction is a result of the continuous efforts of researchers in publishing research internationally in indexed international journals and the high rate of quality citations
The university president added that the Times Higher Education ranking is based on five main criteria for evaluating universities. These indicators include: teaching, the research environment, the quality of scientific research, collaboration with industry, and the university's international profile
For her part, Dr. Sama El-Daq, Director of the Office of International Ranking and Sustainable Development, pointed out that the methodology used in the rankings relies on evaluating universities based on five main areas, including the quality of education (educational environment), the scientific research environment (research volume, income, and reputation), the quality of scientific research (impact, strength, excellence, and influence), collaboration with industry (income and patents), and the university's international profile (diversity of staff, students, and research).
