A researcher at the Faculty of Veterinary at Beni Suef University participates in a pioneering study in Nature magazine, in collaboration with scientists from the United States.

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced the participation of Dr. Shehata Ibrahim Anwar, a lecturer in the Department of Pathology at the Faculty of  Medicine, in publishing a distinguished scientific study in collaboration with scientists from the United States. The study was published in the international journal Nature, one of the most prestigious and highly ranked scientific journals in the world. This study, published in the May 2025 issue, was titled: "Gut-primed T cells trigger central nervous system inflammation."

The University President explained that the publication consider an evidence of the competence of researchers at Beni Suef University and their ability to contribute to solving global scientific issues. It also embodies the university's growing role in the international research arena. He noted that the study sheds light on a new mechanism explaining how immune cells associated with the digestive system can contribute to inflammation in the central nervous system, which represents an important advance in understanding chronic neurological diseases and opens new horizons for developing innovative treatments for them
