Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced that the university ranked 1356th globally, 9th locally, and in the top 7% of universities for the year 2025, advancing 77 places globally and one place locally compared to last year. This is according to the official website of the international university classification, The Center for World University Rankings (CWUR).

The university president explained that the CWUR classification is based on selecting only 2,000 universities from among 20,000 worldwide, and uses seven objective and strong indicators combined in four areas to classify the world’s universities, at the top of which is education, so that reliance in this area is on the academic success of the university’s graduates (25%), as well as employability, and this indicator is based on the professional success of graduates (25%). The ranking also relies on the faculty index, which is measured by the number of faculty members who have achieved the highest academic distinctions (10%), as well as scientific research, with a total of 40%, which includes research output, which is measured by the total number of research papers (10%), high-quality publications, which is measured by the number of research papers appearing in high-level journals (10%), impact, which is measured by the number of research papers appearing in high-impact journals (10%), and finally citations, which is measured by the number of research papers that have been highly cited (10%).

Dr. Sama El-Daq, Director of the Office of International Classification and Sustainable Development, pointed out that the ranking is the result of the university's efforts to implement educational and research policies that are consistent with international classification standards, which places the university in a prestigious position to compete with prestigious international universities, something the university strives for in all classifications.
