Beni Suef National University organizes the first student conference for the Medicine and Surgery Program.

Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef National University, the Medicine and Surgery program organized its first student conference. This conference reflects the university's commitment to supporting scientific research and enhancing the academic capabilities of its students from their early years of study.
The conference was organized under the supervision of Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel Mawgoud, the university's academic vice president, Dr. Ahmed Osama Al-Jundi, dean of the health sector, Dr. Enas Yahya, program director, Dr. Marwa Abdel Tawab, director of the student research unit, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Nasser, and Dr. Ahmed Gamal.
The conference was attended by distinguished leaders from the university and the medical sector, including Dr. Tamer Hafnawi.
Secretary General of the Supreme Council for the Review of Clinical Medical Research Ethics, headed by the Council of Ministers, Professor of Public Health at the Faculty of Medicine, Beni Suef University, Dr. Sahar Dawoud, former Academic Vice President of the University, Dr. Khaled El-Hadidi, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Beni Suef University, Dr. Emad El-Banna, President of the Beni Suef Doctors Syndicate and Director of the University Hospital, and a number of heads of academic departments, faculty members and administrators from the national university and the public medical college. Dr. Ahmed Yahya from the Department of Internal Medicine at Beni Suef University Hospital also attended.
Dr. Mansour Hassan emphasized that the university is working to instill a culture of scientific research and provide a stimulating environment for students, enabling them to innovate and excel. He noted that student conferences are an important platform for preparing students academically and opening new horizons for innovation, contributing to the development of a generation capable of keeping pace with scientific developments both locally and internationally.





For his part, Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel Mawgoud, Academic Vice President, expressed his appreciation for the conference's distinguished scientific content and organization, emphasizing that these events reflect the university's serious commitment to instilling the principle of research-based learning and building the character of the student as a thinker and researcher from the earliest stages.
Dr. Ahmed Osama El-Gendy, Dean of the Sector, expressed his pride in the caliber of the participating students, emphasizing that the submitted research reflects the quality of academic and research training within the program. He also emphasized that the health sector will continue to support all initiatives that contribute to enhancing students' academic performance, particularly those that integrate scientific research with medical education.
It's worth noting that the conference was opened by Dr. Enas Yahya, the program director, with a welcoming speech in which she thanked the academic administration, professors, and assistants at the government college of medicine, as well as the administrators at the National University, emphasizing that the success achieved was the result of cooperation and integration among all parties. Student Ahmed Jaber delivered a speech on behalf of his colleagues, expressing their appreciation for this experience, which provided them with a real opportunity to integrate into the scientific community.
The conference featured the presentation of a distinguished group of research papers prepared by students from the three groups under the supervision of faculty members and the Student Research Unit. The contributions ranged from oral presentations to scientific posters, including several studies currently being published in specialized international journals.
A number of valuable scientific lectures were delivered during the conference. Dr. Tamer Hafnawi addressed topics related to scientific research skills and modern trends in medical education. Dr. Imad El-Banna also gave a lecture on the importance of linking clinical training and scientific research. Dr. Ahmed Yahya delivered a lecture discussing ways to develop critical thinking among medical students.

The conference received widespread acclaim from attendees, who commended the meticulous organization and high-level research. Several faculty and administrative staff members were also honored for their efforts. A video documenting the program's activities and the Student Research Unit was also shown, including examples of training and courses that have contributed to enhancing students' skills in writing, scientific thinking, and publishing methods.
The conference concluded with a recommendation to approve the program director's proposal to establish a clinical research ethics committee within the Medicine and Surgery program. This committee will facilitate the review and approval of research submitted by students from the program and other related programs, thereby enhancing the quality of research and its adherence to ethical and professional standards.
