Beni Suef Mass Communication wins third place in the short films category

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced that the short film "Dawair," produced by the Faculty of Mass Communication, won third place In the short films category of the third edition of the Media Sciences Festival, one of the most important media festivals at Egyptian universities and organized by the General Union of Arab Producers, the film was selected under the supervision of Dr. Abdel Aziz El-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Mamdouh Makkawi, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs. "Dawair" presented a dramatic and humane treatment of the issue of domestic violence, highlighting the psychological and destructive effects this phenomenon has on individuals and families. The work was executed in a unique visual and artistic style, with the production team utilizing innovative techniques in filming and directing, placing the film at the top of the short films category and witnessing strong competition among the many distinguished projects which presented by media students from various universities
Dr. Mansour congratulated the film's production team, which was supervised by Dr. Engy Abu El-Ezz, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Radio and Television, and Ms. Fatima Al-Zahraa, a member of the department's auxiliary staff, as well as the student team: Kyrollos Gamal Tawfik, Kyrollos Raafat Mikhail, Mary Adel Haraz, Arwa Mazen Shehata, Fatima Mohamed Kamal, Mustafa Ibrahim Mohamed, Ramzy Essam Ramzy, Lama Mustafa, Takwa Soliman, Shaima Hamed, and Nisreen Nasser. He stressed that this achievement reflects the level of creativity and excellence enjoyed by the faculty's students, pointing out that the faculty always seeks to develop students' skills in the field of media and provide them with the necessary tools to confront societal issues through effective and purposeful media content
