Beni Suef University Ranks 848th Globally in URAP Rankings, Advancing 53 Positions from Last Year

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced that the university has achieved 848th place globally, advancing 53 positions from last year’s 901st rank, while maintaining its 13th position nationally, according to the 2025 University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP).

Dr. Hassan explained that the URAP ranking methodology relies on multiple indicators to assess academic performance, with research publications forming the core evaluation criteria. The ranking considers both the quality and quantity of publications, along with international research collaboration performance. URAP draws data from reliable and widely recognized sources, including Web of Science (Clarivate – InCites). He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to supporting scientific research and enhancing its impact, aligning with the university’s strategic goals and Egypt’s Vision 2030 for Sustainable Development.

Dr. Sama Al-Daq, Director of the International Ranking and Sustainable Development Office, highlighted that the university’s remarkable progress in this year’s rankings is a result of continuous support from Dr. Mansour Hassan and the implementation of strategic initiatives designed to enhance the university’s ranking. She credited the University Performance Development Center and the International Ranking and Sustainable Development Office for their dedicated efforts in improving the university’s global standing.
