Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the university organized a three-day camp titled "A Stable Family Equals a Secure Society" at the Faculty of Commerce Theater. The event was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, under the supervision of Captain Mohamed Farouk Mahmoud, Director General of Youth Welfare at the university. The camp featured distinguished speakers, including Sheikh Khaled Salem, Senior Researcher at Al-Azhar’s Global Center for Electronic Fatwas, and Sheikh Mohamed Abdel Maaboud, Preacher at the same center. The event saw significant participation from faculty members and students.

On the first day, discussions centered on the vital role of the family in raising generations capable of facing future challenges. The speakers emphasized fostering optimism and generosity in individuals, strengthening family bonds, and upholding national values. They highlighted that a cohesive and stable family serves as the foundation of societal progress, instilling the principles and morals necessary for the nation’s strength and security.

The second day's sessions focused on Al-Azhar’s role in combating extremist ideologies, particularly those spread online and through social media platforms. The discussions explored the mission of Al-Azhar’s Observatory for Combating Extremism, which was established to act as a first line of defense against the misleading narratives propagated by extremist and terrorist groups across digital networks. The participants also examined the impact of social media on Egyptian society, weighing its benefits and risks.

On the final day, the camp addressed the dangers of family disputes and their consequences, particularly the rising divorce rates in recent years. The discussions underscored how such issues threaten societal stability and hinder national development. The event concluded with a reaffirmation of the family’s indispensable role as the cornerstone of a thriving and progressive society, emphasizing that no community can be successful or productive without security and stability.
