In its 242nd session, the Beni Suef University Council, led by President Dr. Mansour Hassan, approved the organization of an awareness workshop by the Faculty of Agriculture titled "Agricultural Drainage Water Treatment and Reuse: Motivations and Opportunities for Youth Specialized in Sustainable Agriculture." The session was attended by Dr. Tarek Ali, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, faculty deans, and council members.
Dr. Mansour emphasized the critical importance of the workshop's theme, noting that treating and reusing agricultural drainage water for irrigation is a safe and reliable approach to preserving non-renewable water resources. This strategy promotes the use of unconventional water resources as an effective and additional alternative. He highlighted the necessity of taking all required measures and conducting scientific research to ensure the effectiveness of this approach, especially since advanced treatment and reuse of agricultural drainage water in Egypt are among the most vital solutions for expanding agricultural areas in numerous regions.
