"Mechanisms and Methods for Drug Prevention" Seminar at the Faculty of Social Work, Beni Suef University

The Developmental Social Work Faculty at Beni Suef University, under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, the University President, organized a seminar titled "Mechanisms and Methods for Drug Prevention." This event was held in collaboration with the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Substance Abuse, under the supervision of Dr. Hendawy Hassan, the Faculty Dean. The seminar featured Dr. Mohamed Mostafa Mohamed, an expert in toxicology and narcotics, as the keynote speaker. The event witnessed significant attendance from faculty members, their assistants, students, and volunteers from the Beni Suef branch of the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Substance Abuse.
The seminar addressed various topics, including the mechanisms and methods for drug prevention, the nature of addiction, and an introduction to the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Substance Abuse and the services it offers. This initiative aligns with the university's commitment to raising students' awareness about the dangers of drugs and smoking, protecting youth from these detrimental phenomena, and highlighting the adverse health, psychological, social, and financial effects associated with substance abuse. At the conclusion of the seminar, an open discussion was held to answer students' questions and inquiries.
